PIER Tuna Research

Principal Investigator:
Michael Domeier, Ph.D., Pfleger Institute of Environmental Research
Timeline:
Initiated 2000, on-going

PIER is involved in long range tracking of two species of tuna, Pacific bluefin tuna (Thunnus orientalis) and yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares). Both species have been tagged with pop-up satellite tags and/or archival tags.

PIER gratefully acknowledges the support of the George T. Pfleger Foundation.
